These Terms & Conditions apply to all orders placed through our webshop (the “Website”) and any related services. By placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

2. Products (Books)
We sell new and used books.
- Used books: Condition is described on the product page. Minor wear may be present.
- Images: Photos are illustrative unless explicitly stated as the exact item.
- Availability: If an item is out of stock after ordering, we will contact you as soon as possible to offer a replacement, a new delivery estimate, or a refund.
3. Prices & Payment
- All prices are shown in EURO (€) and include any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
- Shipping costs are shown during checkout before you pay.
- Payment must be completed before shipment.
- We offer payment methods shown at checkout (e.g., iDEAL, credit card, and other methods provided via payment partners such as Pay.nl, Mollie and Buckaroo partnered gift cards).
4. Placing an Order
The checkout process shows the steps to complete your purchase. Before payment, you will see an order summary including items, totals, and shipping.
After payment, we send an order confirmation by email.
5. Delivery
- We ship to the countries listed at checkout.
- Estimated delivery times are displayed at checkout and/or on the Shipping page.
- If a delivery is delayed, we will inform you as soon as we can.
Risk of loss passes to you when you (or a person designated by you) receive the products.
6. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumer Right – 14 days)
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you generally have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason.
Withdrawal period:
The period expires 14 days after the day you (or a third party you appoint) receive the goods.
How to withdraw:
You may inform us by email (goldenkumquats@gmail.com) or use the model withdrawal form below.
Effects of withdrawal:
We will refund all payments received for the products, including standard delivery costs (if applicable), no later than 14 days after we receive your withdrawal notice. We may wait to refund until we have received the goods back or you have provided proof of return—whichever is earlier.
Return shipping costs:
Unless we state otherwise, you pay the direct cost of returning the goods.
Condition of returned goods:
You may handle the goods only as you would in a physical shop to inspect them. If the returned goods are damaged beyond what’s necessary for inspection, we may reduce the refund accordingly.
Exceptions:
The right of withdrawal may not apply to certain goods/services (for example: sealed audio/video/software unsealed after delivery, custom-made items, etc.). If an exception applies, we will indicate it at checkout or on the product page.
7. Returns (Non-withdrawal cases)
If you received the wrong item, a damaged item, or the item does not match the description, contact us at goldenkumquats@gmail.com within a reasonable time and include:
- order number
- photos (if damaged)
- a short description
We will propose a suitable solution: replacement, partial refund, or full refund.
8. Legal Guarantee (Conformity)
You are entitled to a legal guarantee: products must conform to the contract (match the description and be fit for normal use). For used books, reasonable wear consistent with the described condition is expected.
If a product does not conform, you may be entitled to repair/replacement (if possible) or a refund according to applicable law.
9. Liability
We are not liable for indirect damages (e.g., lost profits) unless mandatory law requires it. Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is not permitted by law.

11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules that may apply in your country of residence.
